Charlie was left outside day in and day out at his former home. His coat was filthy and matted, he was rarely brushed or groomed. He could not understand why he could not be inside with the family he loved and spent his days protecting. Instead of allowing Charlie to be part of the family, his owner decided to turn him into the local shelter. This poor boy - he only wanted to be part of a family. Instead, he found himself in a high kill shelter with a very grim future ahead of him. GSROC could not bear to think that a gorgeous boy such as Charlie could be treated in such a callous manner. He is safe with us now and volunteers are hoping to find a loving home for his soon. Charlie was whisked away to enjoy a doggie spa day. He emerged with a soft, gorgeous coat and a wagging tail. He was thrilled with all the attention. He is still very thin - it is obvious he was fed the bare minimum in his former life. We have him on a special diet to provide needed nutrition.
